Turkish Prepaid Plans

Turkcell

Turkcell provides a Tourist Welcome Pack for 149 TL which gives you a SIM card that has 20GB and 200 calling minutes and is valid for 30 days. You can get this in the airport when you arrive, or at any Turkcell store.

Turk Telekom

provides a prepaid SIM card for 150TL which gives you 25GB, 750 calling minutes and 750 text messages. It is valid for 90 days.

Vodafone

provides the “Holiday Line” for 105 TL which gives you a prepaid sim with 10 GB and 300 calling minutes and is valid for 90 days.

With all of these options you can add more data and calling if you are running low. Just find the nearest store of the provider that you have chosen.

Make sure to have your passport on hand when registering for a new SIM card. Another thing to note if you are staying for longer than 120 days is that you will need to register your phone and pay the local tax in order to keep it connected to a local service provider.  More...
