Butterfly Valley, Faralya, Turkey

Where are the Butterflies?

I’ve never really seen butterflies here, but so what? Look at the place! Is this a dream, or what?

Yachts cruise in and drop anchor for lunch and a swim. Backpackers staying at tree-house lodgings deep in the valley follow the sinuous path down to the beach for a refreshing dip.

You get to Butterfly Valley (Kelebek Vadisi), on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, from Fethiye by way of Ölüdeniz, then onward by the unpaved Faralya road, part of the Lycian Way that leads, farther along, to the Tohum Eco-Center.

Unless, of course, you drift in by Blue Voyage yacht.
