Turkish “Apachee”

You won’t see many American Indians from your excursion boat on the Dalyan Creek (Dalyan Çayı) in Dalyan, south of Köyceğiz Lake on the Turkish Mediterranean.

What you will see are classical Lycian tombs carved into a sheer rock mountainside; the ruins of ancient Caunos; natural hot springs; and a broad swath of beach at İztuzu that’s a favorite with loggerhead turtles.

Apaches? That would be Dallas, not Dalyan.
