Hotels & Inns in Safranbolu, Turkey

Last Updated on May 22, 2019

Many of old Safranbolu‘s traditional Ottoman mansionshave been restored and converted to comfy, atmospheric inns, holding anywhere from 5 or 6 to 20 rooms.

You’ll find lots of these charming places in the historic Çarşı district, which is probably where you want to stay in any case.

If possible, plan your stay in Safranbolu for weekdaysrather than weekends. Hotel rates are lower, and crowds are thinner.

Note that parking can be difficult in the Çarşı district, so if you’re driving, consult with your hotel about where to park your car.

I had a fine stay at the 18-room İmren Lokum Konak Boutique Hotel right in the center of the Çarşı district overlooking the historic mosque and hamam. The hotel is operated by the famous İmren Lokum company, and you get a discount on their delicious lokum (Turkish Delight) from any of their shops in town if you stay here. More…

There are at least three dozen more charming Ottoman inns in Çarşı, as well as numerous modern hotels up the hill in the Kıranköy district, as well as hotels in Karabük.
