İncirlik Air Base is a joint Turkish-American military facility near Adana, at the eastern end of Turkey's Mediterranean coast (map).
Even though I've been there, I can't tell you much about it. My stay was a short one and happened a long time ago (during the late 1960s).
İncirlik (EEN-jeer-leek, "fig orchard") airbase has been there for a long time, having been a major Turkish-US facility during the Cold War in the 1960s and presumably even the 1950s.
The climate is pretty nice in the winter, but in summer it resembles nearby Adana, which is to say it's like Mississippi at its worst.
If you're going to İncirlik, presumably you'll need no itinerary planning assistance from me. Uncle Sam is your travel agent.
You may want to learn a few words of Turkish, though. See my Turkish Language Guide and 100 Most Useful Words in Turkish™ to get started.
