Bursa Bus Terminal to City Center

Last Updated on May 3, 2019

Bursa‘s huge Intercity Bus Terminal (Şehirlerarası Otobüs Terminali), called Terminal (tehr-mee-NAHL) for short, is a useful facility 10 km (6.2 miles) north of the city center (map), with buses to all parts of Turkey, including city buses to the ferry docks at Güzelyalı and Mudanya, and intercity buses to Yalova for the car ferry to Istanbul.

However, even Bursalılar (citizens of Bursa) complain about how time-consuming it is to travel from the Terminal to the city center. Although the distance is not great, traffic is so heavy that it takes an average of 30 minutes in light to moderate traffic, and 50 minutes or more in heavy traffic.

Luckily, the trip itself is not expensive. Yellow city Bus 38runs frequently between the Terminal and the city center (get out at the Timurtaş Paşa stop near the Ulu Cami/Great Mosque), and costs only TL2.50.

For the ferry docks at Güzelyalı and Mudanya, look for Bus 1/F which will take you to both docks. More…
