Istanbul Park Auto Race Track

Last Updated on August 18, 2022

Istanbul Park auto race track is in Kurtköy, near Tuzla, about 62 km (38 miles, a one-hour drive) southeast of the center of Istanbul on the Asian side of the Bosphorus near Sabiha Gökçen Airport ().

The 5.378-km (3.34-mile) track was built in 2005 at a cost of €80 million.

On the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit from 2005 to 2011, Istanbul Park was left out of these races in 2012 and thereafter.

Built on four ground levels, the anti-(counter-) clockwise track has 14 corners (eight left, six right), a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph), and can host about 125,000 fans for a race.

If you don't use a shuttle service, but drive your own vehicle (Ferrari?), leave the Trans-European Motorway (TEM) O2 expressway at the Kurtköy exit (Kurtköy Çıkışı, the same exit as for Sabiha Gökçen Airport) and look for signs to Göçbeyli, northwest of the airport. Istanbul Park is 6 km (3.7 miles) from the TEM 02 exit.
