Istanbul-İzmir Car Ferry, Turkey

Deniz Cruise & Ferry Lines (“Denizline“) operated the car ferries m/v Samsun and m/v Ankara on overnight voyages between Istanbul‘s Sarayburnu (Seraglio Point) dock and İzmir‘s Alsancak dock, or the dock at Çesme, west of İzmir, but the car ferry no longer stops at İzmir or Çesme.

The Denizline ferries no longer operate (2009).

There are NO FERRIES from Istanbul to any port on Turkey’s Aegean, Mediterranean or Black Sea coasts.

There are currently no ferries between Istanbul and İzmir. The way to make this journey is by ferry and train(IstanbulBandırmaİzmir), by bus or by airplane.
