October (Ekim) begins with very good weather averaging 20 degree celsius (68 fahrenheit) in coastal cities and 12 degrees Celsius (53 Fahrenheit) in inland cities, but the autumn rains may start sometime in mid or late October.

Beach vacations are still easily possible, particularly along the Mediterranean shore in the first half of October and perhaps through October, though the chance of rain increases as the month progresses.

There may also be freak snowstorms in Central Anatolia, but overall this is a pretty good month to travel in Turkey.
