Aspendos Yörük Çadırı
Aspendos Archeological Site is a timeworn, beautiful ancient city. Known for its well preserved aqueduct, stadium, and theater, Aspendos will surely impress those who tour it. Though ancient ruins are what draw tourists to the region, a day in Aspendos is not fully enjoyed until one eats a village meal at Aspendos Yörük Çadırı. Aspendos Yörük Çadırı’s individual breakfast bungalows are possibly the best place to enjoy Aspendos’s aqueduct pillars in their beauty. At this restaurant, you will enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal as you watch the ancient city.
Aspendos Yörük Çadırı is very accessible, located just 1.3 kilometers (1 mile) from Aspendos theater. It would be advisable to drive from Aspendos Antik Kenti (Ancient City) to Yörük Çadırı, but it is within walking distance if you’re feeling a bit adventurous. Established 4 years ago, this restaurant is incredibly hospitable and family-run. They are most famous for their köy kahvaltısı (village breakfast). Village breakfast is a traditional Turkish breakfast but is usually located in a natural setting with fresher ingredients. This breakfast includes scrambled eggs, gözleme, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, bread, and various spreads. It also includes fresh olives, french fries, beyaz peynir (white sheep’s milk cheese), and sucuk a Turkish sausage. They open each day at 8 AM. Don’t miss Aspendos Yörük Çadırı during your stay!
