Dramatic Cappadocian Landscape
Ürgüp is the chief town right in the midst of the fairy chimneys of Central Anatolia‘s Cappadocia region. (Nevşehir, the provincial capital, is only 18 km/11 miles away, but it has few of Cappadocia’s dramatic volcanic cones and cliffs in it.)
This photo was taken from a terrace of the Esbelli Evi inn, my favorite place to stay in all of Cappadocia.
If you visit Ürgüp on your trip to Turkey, consider staying there.
