Hotels in Cankurtaran, Istanbul

Last Updated on July 27, 2022

Istanbul's Cankurtaran district, just down the hill to the southeast from the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome(), has all sorts of hotels, including Ottoman-style inns, backpackers' hostels and small modern hotels, and also some laundries.

Cankurtaran (JAHN-koor-tah-rahn, "life-saver") is a popular tourist district, with many sidewalk restaurants and cafes, shops, boutiques and travel agencies. Most of its hotels are only a 5- or 10-minute walk from the Hippodrome up a gradual hill.

If you already have the name of a hotel and want to know more about it, see my Istanbul Hotel Index.
