Naz Wooden House Inn, Istanbul

Last Updated on July 30, 2022

What is now Sultanahmet, the touristic heart of Old Istanbul(), was once the site of several ancient Byzantine palaces.

You will feel directly in touch with all that history as soon as you step inside the tiny Naz Wooden House Inn which was built right up against a stretch of Byzantine wall. Incorporated into the hotel’s decoration, this makes for a very special atmosphere.

The Naz Wooden House Inn only has 8 fairly small rooms, the finest of them with parts of the old city wall running through them. All were renovated in 2015, have private bathrooms and cable television, and are decorated in a clean modern style. Kilims are thrown on the wooden floor add that extra dash of color.

Breakfast is served either on the enclosed terrace with a view of the Sea of Marmara, or on the upper terrace with indoor and outdoor seating and views out towards the Princes Islands on one side and the Blue Mosque on the other.

The location, in a quiet residential side street, still retains a friendly Turkish atmosphere, and you won’t have any hassle staying here. At the same time, it’s within an easy 10-minute walk of the Blue MosqueAya Sofya, the Topkapı Palace and all the other great sights of Old Istanbul.

Naz Wooden House Inn is under the same management as the Sultan's Inn, the Deniz Houses, and Efendi Travel Agency, which operates a good value-for-money airport transfer service.

When you contact the Naz Wooden House Inn, please mention TTP. Here’s why. If you mention TTP, you'll receive a free fruit basket in your room upon arrival.
