Turkish Railway Pullman Cars

Pullman Cars

Passenger cars on traditional Turkish trains are mostly American-style Pullman cars with individual reclining seats, two or three on each side of a central aisle, all facing in the same direction toward the front of the train, with common windows on both sides of the car. More…

The high-speed trains (YHT) use ultramodern Pullman coaches for normal-fare passengers. Business Classcoaches have 2-and-1 seating and all amenities. More…

Compartment Coaches

Some trains use older European-style compartment cars for up to six persons. Passengers sit on two bench seats facing one another, three seats on each side. One side faces toward the front of the train, the other toward the rear. A dozen compartments line one side of the train car, each compartment with a window to the outside and a door to the access corridor on the other side.
